I couldn't help but notice the frame fees for the above, so if you were thinking of entering you should check.

(Hint: $90/frame & literature; $150 for 1 frame class; 0 for juniors).

That's good advice.

I would mention that PISC will be holding a meeting at the Exhibition; details will appear on our website when arrangements are complete.

Confirmation of Meeting at Australia 2013
Royal Exhibition Building, Carlton Gardens, Melbourne
on Sunday 12 May 2013 in Meeting Room 1
from 12.15 to 2.00 pm

The Exhibition organisers have confirmed that we have been allocated a slot for our meeting, as above.

Our meeting room is located in the main body of the Exhibition Hall of the Royal Exhibition Buildings and will have seating for about 50 people. Three exhibition frames will be available, each capable of holding 16 sheets per face, i.e. a total of 96 sheets. Computer-based projection facilities, e.g. for PowerPoint presentations, will also be provided. The meeting will be informal, but we very much hope that local members will bring some material for brief displays.

Our Chairman, Rufus Barnes, and Secretary John Ray will be there and we hope that as many members as possible will come along.

All meetings at the Exhibition will be open to everybody – the aim is to allow collectors with similar interests to meet fellow enthusiasts both from Australia and overseas. We look forward to seeing you in Melbourne!

I will be attending the PISC Meeting, and would like to bring along some Fiji Overprint items from my collection to share with interested colleagues. Can you please confirm the size of a "frame" - will regular hagner pages fit OK? I have never exhibited before so am not across the technical details of frame sizes and what fits.
Thank you, very excited that we're less than a month away :w00t:
Cheers

Hi Matt,

I am looking forward to meeting you and seeing your Fiji overprints! Regarding the frames, I have just (yesterday) heard from the organisers that there will be three double-sided frames in the meeting rooms, but the size of these frames was not mentioned. At the last Sydney show that I attended the meeting room frames were the same size as the exhibition frames, i.e. they held 16 sheets per face in 4 rows of 4. Sheet size is stated in the regulations to be not exceeding 28.5cm high by 24 cm wide. However, I am sure that the frames in the meeting rooms will not be glazed and it will therefore be possible to fit A4 sheets in them with a small overlap; this will not be a problem.
