Does this aerogramme exist without the POSTAGE / PAID cachet?
Who can confirm this?

Roland,

there is a reference to the aerogramme you are looking for in Roggenkämper/Russ/Wiegand, Katalog der Aerogramme von Australien und Ozeanien, 2003. Scan attached.

Many thanks Peik, I'll tell my friend Allan Gory in Australia for whom I asked this question.

You're welcome, Roland.

I know Allan :) and have discussed this issue today with him. Unfortunately, I have to correct the information I gave yesterday.

I had a closer look at the copy in the catalogue:

The necks of the pigeons are red as is the "Postage paid". In the scan/copy in the catalogue, the red necks turned out to be white. Please have a close look to the left part of the indicium. You should see 5 wavy lines in white there (which are red in the aerogramme I have before me). So, I guess, also the one shown in the catalogue is WITH "Postage Paid. It's just the poor scan in the catalogue that suggests an aerogramme exists without "Postage Paid".

Cheers,

Peik

<vbg> So I assume that there are at least three participants in the internet.

There are four.

I was only aware of one type but would be happy to add to my listing(I also note the German catalogue for these issues [http://www.zirinskystamps.com/Publications/web%20publications/Solomon%20Islands%20Stationery.pdf]
